The Toodyay Naturalists Club
The Toodyay Naturalists' Club meets on the third Saturday of each month (excluding December and January). Each month it has an interesting guest speaker, a Club night, or a field trip. The usual meeting place is the CWA Hall, Stirling Terrace, Toodyay.

PublicationsThe Club has produced a number of excellent publications over the years, The 'Natural History of Toodyay' (1979), 'The Avon Valley – The Naturalists’ View' (1986), and 'The Pioneer Arboretum' (1992).
Their second publication, The Avon Valley - The Naturalists' View, is an excellent publication, and has been well sought after for many years. This book is a very useful little handbook for local naturalists. It sells for $10 (plus $2.50 for postage and handling) and
can be ordered by emailing the Club at the address to the left (both other publications are out of print).
The full story of the early days of the Toodyay Naturalists' Club through to the present era can be found in the Club's history book 'The Toodyay Naturalists' Club: 40 years of Observation and Education (1968-2008)', published in July 2010 and launched at the Annual General Meeting in July 2010. The book contains a double-page spread of text and images for each of the Club's 40 years. There are profiles of the Honorary Life Members and Patrons and essays on the Club's Observation Records and Herbarium. Tables are included listing holders of the various Honorary Club positions. An extensive bibliography and a detailed index of names of all types enhances the usefulness of the work.
